Over the years, AEP participated in various projects, many of which of groundbreaking nature, which have contributed to promote excelence of services provided by IST.

  • BIBLIO – Bibliometric study of IST’s scientific output
  • OVERLOAD – Report on the identification of administrative overloads by the teachnig staff
  • ABSENT – Analysis of absenteism in IST’s services
  • PEI&D – Launch of strategic planning activities in R&D units
  • TALENT – Comparative study on talent attraction mechanisms comparativo
  • COMPETE – Evaluation of the current resources, skills and functions of non-teaching staff dos
  • AVAL – Pilot project on the methodology of evaluation of IST’s services

Project Objectives OBS
Student Attraction Plan (1993) To promote attractiveness of IST’s programmes with secondary schools through a student attraction plan and respective implementation. Integrated in NAPE
Internal Regulation Project for the Protection of Intellectual Property in  IST (1998) To promote management and valorization intelectual property in IST, which led to the creation of a Technology Licensing Support Office (GALTEC). Integrated in ATT
IST Publishing house (1996) To promote the publications of IST proefssors, which led to the set up of a publishing house,  IST-Press Integrated in IST-Press
Alumni Project (1997) To ensure a contact networking with former IST students, with the purpose of keeping them in touch with the school in a perspective of lifelong training and update of information on their professional integration, which led to the set up of the UNIVA project (Active LIfe Integration Unit) under the AEP. Integrated in GCRP
Monitoring (1999) and Tutoring (2003) Projects To promote school success by monitoring and following up first-year students , which led to the creation of the Tutoring Support Office. Integrated in GATu
